Congratulations to the 2023 ABET Grant Recipients

Each year, BCSP and the BCSP Foundation provide funding to EHS programs seeking accreditation or re-accreditation through ABET.  These $10,000 grants will be used to offset costs associated with seeking accreditation for the first time or seeking re-accreditation.

Congratulations to the programs listed below on receiving the grant. We are proud to support you and your students!

Join Us in Congratulating the 2023 QAP Scholarship Recipients

Each year, BCSP and the BCSP Foundation award scholarships to up to 40 juniors, seniors, and master’s students currently enrolled in a Qualified Academic Program.  The scholarships recognize the students’ dedication to and excellence in their respective programs. While the programs of each of the recipients may differ, a common thread runs throughout each of them: the desire to protect lives in the workplace—inherent in their choice of pursuing an education and a career in EHS is that common cause.

Rachel Nieves, a 2022 BCSP Foundation Qualified Academic Program (QAP) Scholarship recipient, was reminded of that when, as a freshman at Utah State University, she was looking for an undergraduate program that would transition well into the medical field. While looking through various STEM programs, she enlisted the help of her mom, who, as Rachel described, loves to dig in and do research on those types of things.
