The BCSP Foundation is pleased to announce the 2024 Officers for the Board of Directors. Travis Kruse, Ph.D., MS, CSP, will assume the role of Chair; Jane Beaudry, CSP, CHST, STSC will take over as Vice Chair, and Ray Ferrara, CFP will be the Foundation’s Treasurer.
“This leadership group comprises the expertise, professionalism, and dedication needed to guide the Foundation as we begin to expand into new areas and exciting opportunities,” said Christine McConnell, MPA, Deputy Executive Director of the BCSP Foundation. “As we increase our investment efforts in safety practitioners, workforce training, innovation, and support of the youth, it is crucial that we have a cohesive and knowledgeable team to lead us, and with this group, I am confident we will accomplish all the goals set before us.”
Dave Jones, SMS, CHST, Caroline Walters, and Mary Hjorth, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, will serve as Board Members in 2024.

Travis Kruse, Ph.D., MS, CSP is the Senior Director, Safety & Sustainability Solutions Strategy for W.W. Grainger Incorporated. Dr. Kruse has over 22 years of experience in consulting, general industry, and sales leadership roles. He is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Murray State University Occupational Safety and Health (ANSAC/ABET) Advisory Council Member, Semiconductor Environmental, Safety & Health Association (SESHA) Board Member, and an authorized instructor for the OSHA Training Institute (OTI). Dr. Kruse has a PhD in Public Health from Oregon State University and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Health and Safety from Murray State University and has published in the Journal of Safety Research.
Jane Beaudry, CSP, CHST, STSC recently celebrated over 30 years in the construction industry, with over 25 years of passionate commitment to the health and well-being of her fellow co-workers in a formal safety capacity. In March 2020, she joined Jacobs as the HSE Director for its Life Sciences of North America line of business, managing a staff of over 30 HSE subject matter experts who support approximately 1200 colleagues in the safe design and delivery of complex life sciences projects. Immediately prior, she was the Construction SHE Lead for AstraZeneca’s large capital construction projects in the Americas for over 6 years, and before that, contributed in a safety leadership role for ENR Top 100 employers as well as US specialty contractors who were the largest in their respective industries. Considered a thought leader among her peers, she is the BSCP Foundation’s newest Board of Trustees member. She has been a finalist judge for the Willis Towers Watson/AGC Construction Safety Excellence Awards for the last 3 years, was on the Curriculum Advisory Committee, and later Adjunct Professor for Wentworth Institute of Technology’s first Construction Safety Management course. Also, throughout her career, she has been an active member or Chair of several construction association safety committees, frequent guest lecturer, and contributing author.
Ray Ferrara, CFP serves as the BCSP Board of Directors’ Public Director and is Chairman and CEO of ProVise Management Group, LLC, a full-service financial planning firm that is a Registered Investment Advisor with the Securities and Exchange Commission. He is involved with many professional and not-for-profit organizations, including PMG Marketing Group, American Financial Solutions, and Money Transfer Systems. Mr. Ferrara was previously the Chair of the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standard, Inc. and is a Registered Principal with FINRA. Mr. Ferrara has a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Maryland.
