Let Us Introduce SHIFT’s Editor in Chief

The BCSP Foundation is pleased to announce Dr. Luz S. Marín as the Editor in Chief of SHIFT: Global EHS Research to Practice. With 10 years of experience as a Safety and Health Consultant in various industry sectors, eight years in research, and five years of experience in academia, Dr. Marín brings an abundance of diverse knowledge and experience to the Foundation’s forthcoming peer-reviewed publication.

“Luz has been a pillar in the EHS community and we are very excited to have her serve as the Editor in Chief of SHIFT,” said Managing Editor of Shift and BCSP Learning Solutions Director Angela Giotto, Ph.D., CSP. “She brings with her a wealth of diverse knowledge and experience, and we are very excited to have her on board.”

Dr. Marín graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a Doctor of Science (ScD) in Occupational Ergonomics and Safety and a Master of Science (MS) in Work Environment. She also has an MS in Project Design and Management from the Colombian School of Engineering, an MS in Occupational Safety and Health Management from Del Rosario University, and a Bachelor of Art (BA) in Chemical Engineering from the National University of Colombia.

Dr. Marín is an associate professor in the Department of Safety Sciences at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), an assistant administrator of the ASSP Hispanic Safety Professionals, and a member of the American Public Health Association.
